Committees
As a memeber of the Association you have the opportunity to build realtionships with fellow Realtors and Affiliate members by volunteering to serve your Association.  There are a variety of committees and we are always looking for new members to get involved.  Below is a brief description of the Association committees and a link to the committee roster.  In addition the Committee Sign-Up Form can be completed and returned to the Association office if you are interested in joining a committee.


Communications Committee
Mission:  To plan and implement public service projects, press releases and communications between the Association and the public.  

Education Committee
Mission:  Panning and carrying out plans to present educational seminars, designation classes, and new member orientation for the Association membership.

Entertainment and Programs Committee
Mission:  Responsible for planning and executing plans for the Association's social events and membership meetings.

Finance Committee
Mission:  To review and report on the performance of the Association's financial position and to recommend investment policy to the Board of Directors.  Please note this commitee requires appointment by the President or the Treasurer.

Grievance Committee
Mission:  To receive and review complaints from the membership and the general public and take action according to the NAR Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual.  Three years of Realtor membership is required to serve on this committee.

Legislative Committee
Mission:  The Legislative Committee works with local, state, and federal officials to ensure that Realtors, homeowners, and private property owner's rights are all addressed.

Member Services Committee
Mission:  To establish a better line of communication and evaluate and implement services for Association members.

Newsletter Committee
Mission: Responsible for the development of articles and editorials for the publication "Property Lines".

Professional Standards Committee
Mission:  Holds hearings on complaints concerning the NAR Code of Ethics and Arbitration of disputes.  Three years of Realtor membership and attendance at annual training is required to serve on this committee.

RPAC Committee
Mission:  To raise funds for, and raise awareness of, the Realtors Political Action Committee.  Educate members and monitor local, state, and national issues that affect the real estate industry.  Members of this committee are asked to contribute the minimum RPAC "fair share" amount set by PAR each year.
