Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS® leadership and staff attend national convention for the National Association of REALTORS in Orlando
To further increase their enthusiasm and knowledge of the real estate industry, several members of the leadership and staff of the Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS® (R-BAR) attended the 2008 National Association of REALTORS (NAR) Conference and Expo, November 7 - 10, 2008 in Orlando, Florida.
Jack Fry, 2008 President, Dave Raring, 2008 President-Elect, Gary Yost, Association Executive and 2009 PAR Association Executives Forum Chair; and Kirsten Keim-Shendge, Marketing & Communications Director all participated in various seminars, lectures and events while absorbing the REALTOR spirit that was present among the other 20,000 attendees.
The conference included four days of intensive training and programs for REALTORS® and Association Staff. Classes and sessions offered a variety of topics including technology, leadership, marketing and productivity.
Many celebrities were featured at different events, including motivational speeches by Lance Armstrong, Joe Theisman and Lee Woodruff as well as exciting concerts by Lionel Ritchie and Kool and the Gang. Universal Studios was open one night exclusively for Conference attendees.
The information, new ideas and excitement gained from this conference experience will prove useful in continuing to provide valuable services to both the R-BAR membership and the real estate community in Berks County.
