Polley Associates Risky Business: Consumer Protection Through Risk Management

Risk management is the process of identifying potential risks and creating a plan to control them. The capacity to manage potential risks in real estate depends on an individuals ability to appropriately assess a variety of scenarios to discern the legal, professional, and ethical considerations that must be weighed before action is taken. The ability to assess these scenarios appropriately in all facets manages the risk to consumers.

This course will help participants understand and identify common risks in the daily practice of real estate through analysis of real-life scenarios. Participants will develop a personal framework for ethical decision making that can be used to inform their future professional practice. Relevant laws at both the state and federal level, as well as Real Estate Commission Rules and Regulations, will be addressed.
