2018 has been a notable year for the Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS®. We've driven golf carts, sampled whiskey, delivered over 170 meals, supported 11 locally elected officials, walked some pigs, educated 31 CRS students, raised $32,810 RPAC dollars and won a few awards in the process! WHAT A YEAR! With new leadership and innovative strategies on the rise, our goal is to improve overall membership services and increase member engagement. We are here to help you grow your business as trusted professionals in the real estate industry.
In 2018, the Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS® adopted a value proposition to help our members understand exactly what we’re here for. Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS® is a force that works to move you forward in your business through professional development, community involvement, and legislative advocacy. We are here to support your success and help you provide the dream of property ownership. Adopting this stance for the association as a whole will allow us to promote the REALTOR® brand together, and allow all our members to proudly display their designation.
Moving forward, we are looking to expand on these building blocks that created the new foundation in 2018. We owe it to you to continue with the momentum we have attained in the past year, and ensure R-BAR is an association that both members and the general public can continue to count on. With the emphasis on our overarching goals to become a leading source of information, creating a culture of volunteerism, and leadership in the advocacy of private property rights, 2019 is going to be a year of continued evolution, growth, and reinvention of new and better services that meet your needs, MEMBER needs.
We listened to member input and released a new website that allows for a public facing perspective, offering property searches by city, zip code, or school district. The new site also includes open houses and property connections directly back to the listing agent! We provide the networking opportunities and business connections you need to be successful, and leadership development in business and community. As this vision grows and comes to fruition, we look to our member population for continued dedication and participation to create a successful association, one member at a time.
