I wear many hats in the course of a day here at the R-BAR office. Orientation, advertising, processing new and transferred members—but my favorite hat is my “Onboarding Hat”.
As part of our “R-BAR Reinvented” initiative, the staff here is continuously working to build upon and improve many of our long-standing procedures and traditions. While we still provide new member orientation for our new REALTORS®, we are now complementing that with a 15-20 minute onboarding session to help members get acquainted with what we offer and start off their new careers in the right direction, complete with a quick start guide and password keeper.
While getting the kinks out of the process during our preliminary stages, I have onboarded a dozen or so agents and have determined that the following features are the most exciting to our new agents:
FREE ROTATING WEBSITE ADS! This is our most recent MEMBER BENEFIT and something all REALTORS®, new and seasoned alike, are benefitting from. Once your listing is uploaded into the Bright system, it may take a day or two, but YOUR (Berks County) listing will be visible on the scrolling NEW LISTINGS IN BERKS section of our website for one week, FOR FREE! If you enter your open houses into Bright with enough lead time, your open house will also be featured in the Open House section of our website, one week before your event date, FOR FREE.
Every afternoon www.RealEstateinBerks.com interfaces with BRIGHT MLS, gleans any newly added listings and open house data and populates our website with it. SEARCH BY SCHOOL DISTRICT BUTTON This is such a gorgeous feature and something we are particularly proud of here. Every school district in Berks County is represented by two links. The school mascot/logo link will take your client to the homepage of the school district. The second link, in blue, will take you DIRECTLY to all properties for sale within the chosen school district. With the option to have the search results in list form or map form, it’s an easy to use feature for you and something you can offer to your clients as well. Additional filters can be applied to keep narrowing your results as well.
MUNICIPAL DATABASE. This ESPECIALLY sweet feature can be found on the member-facing page. Who do you call when you need a variance? What are the signage rules in a particular township? When is the next borough council meeting? We have gathered all this information from every municipality in Berks and Schuylkill Counties and situated it all in one place so you can access the details 24/7!
