Association Executives Institute
One of the professional development conferences that I attend is the Association Executives Institute hosted by the National Association of REALTORS®. This conference was held in Austin, TX this year at the end of March and it was 4 days of intense sessions, speakers, and networking opportunities.
I also took the opportunity to take a full-day course called Global Programs for Associations which provided information on global member programs to help association members succeed in the global marketplace and included information on how to connect our association to the larger global business community. My hope is to eventually offer a global/diversity council at R-BAR with the knowledge gained from this session. We would be the only association in Pennsylvania to do this.
Others sessions included, but certainly not limited to: Virtual Classrooms - Educate Members Beyond Association Walls, Say it With a Picture, Advancing Members’ Online Presence and Build Their Success, NAR Policy 101, Get Butts in the Seats With a Solid Business Plan, Engage Future Leaders, MLS 101, and a whole host of other relevant presentations. We also had the opportunity to network at the famous Austin City Limits.
