Earlier this year, I worked towards earning the RCE designation from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). The RCE stands for REALTOR® Association Certified Executive and is the only designation available from NAR for Association Executives.

According to NAR, “the RCE designation exemplifies goal-oriented association executives with drive, experience and commitment to professional growth.”

To earn the RCE designation, I had to meet many requirements and conduct various projects required of each module of the designation. The designation covers every aspect of association management including: understand and reviewing governing documents and policy, MLS polices and procedures, political and government affairs, communications and publications, and public relations.

Once I met all the requirements, I had to take a test that covered every aspect of association management over the course of 3 hours. Thankfully, I was successful on my first try and I passed all 3 modules. I found out the I received the designation at the Association Executives Institute in Austin, TX in late March. With this designation, I have the knowledge that is required to take R-BAR to the next level.
