Realtors Political Action Committee

Since 1969, the REALTORS® Political Action Committee has been promoting the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States.

RPAC is the only political organization in the country organized for REALTORS®, run by REALTORS®, and exists solely to advance the issues important to REALTORS® and our clients. Choose not to participate, and your business becomes an easy target for unnecessary and burdensome regulation, fees, and liability. Real estate transactions are an easy target for new taxes and fees.

Your RPAC investment is an investment in your business and in yourself. It is your best— and only— defense against poorly designed legislation that would harm you, your business, and your clients.

How RPAC Works

RPAC funds campaigns for candidates who have your interests in mind. RPAC's REALTORS® choose which candidates to support based on their position or voting record on real estate issues, candidate responses on questionnaires or interviews, and the recommendation of local associations.

You must be a member of the National Association of REALTORS® to contribute to RPAC.

Contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes. Contributions to RPAC are voluntary, and are used for political purposes. The amount suggested is merely a guideline, and you may contribute more or less than the suggested amount. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal. The National Association of REALTORS®, or any of its state associations or local boards, will not favor or disfavor any member because of the amount contributed. 70% of each contribution is used by your state PAC to support state and local political candidates. Until your state PAC reaches its RPAC goal, 30% is sent to National RPAC to support federal candidates, and is charged against your limits under 52 U.S.C. § 30116. After the state PAC reaches its RPAC goal, it may elect to retain your entire contribution for use in supporting state and local candidates.
