City of Reading Housing and Blight Strategy
Blighted and abandoned properties undermine the fabric of the community, impose significant costs on local government, erode property values, and deter investment in local communities. This Housing and Blight Strategy is the result of a several month long collaborative effort between various boards, departments, elected officials, and other leaders within the City of Reading to create a plan to improve housing and eliminate blight.
The Reading-Berks Association of REALTORS® will continue to advocate for homeownership, private property rights, and strong communities in Reading and across Berks County.
